taste notes Color: Intense red with shades of blues. Very glyceride.

Smell: Very intense, honest and very clean.

Taste: Fresh entrance with a good evolution because of the concentration of tannin, soft, that flows into a large end. At the beginning, because of its freshness, the flavours of red berries predominate. When the tannin appears the balsamic flavours are imposed and at the end, the red berries, chocolate and vanilla get mixed living a post taste long and intense.
vintage and vineyard Year marked by a good rainfall, accumulated during the last autumn and also by a rainy winter (more than 100l/m2accumulated).

When the spring came, because of this accumulated rain, the vineyard develops a good sprout even though a bit later than what is usual due to the low temperatures of March. The rain during the spring was much more limited.

Summer was hot, with temperatures of more than 36ºC some days. The temperature and the abundance of water gave a good sprout and an excellent blooming.

In mid August, we had some episodes of heavy rain that helped the ripening of the stock. It also rained in September, which delayed the harvest.

The final result has been a harvest of good quality and quantity.
fermentation The grapes, once moved to the cellar, was immediately skidded and squeezed.

Regarding the soaking, with 5 daily manual punch down and pump over, after 5 to 8 days the fermented must was pressed with a gentle pneumatic press and the fermentation was finished skinless.

All the wine, separated by varieties makes the alcoholic fermentation in immaculate stainless steel tanks topped constantly, in an always-controlled temperature; but a part of between 15% to 20% makes the fermentation malolactic in the same new French Oak barrels used in the rearing of the Mas de l'Abundancia during approximately one month. Meanwhile the other small part, around 5 to 10% comes from a previous vintage of our aged wine with a breeding of 13 months. It is though considered a young wine due to the major part of its blending.

After the fermentation, the wine was subjected to 0º temperatures and to an egg whites clarification to stabilise it. Before bottling it, it was filtered.

It's a delicate wine, kind, apparently easy to drink but complex, original and mainly a perfect wine to sample between minimum 6 months after being bottled, to the next 5 years.
